Suggests recipes based on your refrigerator’s contents.
That last one could actually be pretty good for me:
“Ayooo Robot, what can I make for dinner tonight with what I have in the fridge?”
“You only have beef and eggs in your fridge Gavin, along with black coffee.”
I guess there’s some type of companion mode as well on there, could be good for you if you’re looking for a best man/bridesmaid.
Here’s how I could potentially see this product playing out:
(Which by the way, is selling for $499 per month or $20,000 for ownership).
People are going to buy this thing, test it out.
Then everyone’s going to talk about how kinda useless the thing is (kind of like VR goggles) or something silly like how Neo won’t shut up when we’re trying to watch a movie in the living room.
Imagine that…
Sitting there with the robot on the couch watching Christopher Nolan’s; Tenant.
“I am not computing nor understanding, please rewind this scene.”
I could also see there being some type of massive recall/mass returning because a story comes out about how NEO accidentally creeped into little Jimmy’s room at 1AM when he was supposed to be powered off for the night.
Seems like just another shiny object to me.
A slightly terrifying one.
Speaking of which…
I actually have a full list of "business shiny objects" that I've kept track of from over the years solely for my own amusement.
Stuff like:
People dumping their life savings into Meta Ads thinking they’re guaranteed an 5x ROI.
Or something like putting your sheer will and life force into growing a following on a single platform (or a single marketing medium in general, even including email) and nothing else then having to scramble when they announce the app/platform may vanish. You should always be building out different medias, relying on 1 single thing of anything is not logical.
Or trying to implement any type of AI into your business because that’s what “everyone else is doing.” This is a personal favorite of mine. Most people who've rushed to implement AI into their business are still figuring out how to actually make money from it (shocking).
Or building a $10k website before making a single sale (bottom of the barrel, do not do this) the main point of building a website is to literally send your customers to an email list (free).
Plus a whole lot more, I’m sure some are probably coming to your mind right now.
Here’s reality:
All roads lead to an email list.
As in:
What’s the most logical place to send people who found your podcast on YouTube/Spotify?
Where should you be sending people who follow you on social media?
Where do attendees from your webinars or live events end up after?
Where are you directing users who download your free lead magnets or PDFs?
What am I going to tell you to sign up for at the bottom of this blog if you enjoyed reading this and want to learn more?
An email list.
So, here’s my blunt advice:
Get to creating da email list (free).
Get to sending da emails (still free).
Get to makin da money (makes you money).
Those last three lines are actually all things I do for my clients. They know how important email is for their business. But they also recognize their true gift lies elsewhere; creating social content, building relationships in person, speaking on stages, serving their clients, leading their team…. etc.
