Pet Emu Ran Wild In Hometown
I’m a member of the “Sandwich Scoop.” A Facebook group for my hometown where people can stay updated with news and such. I think pretty common for most towns have this.
I barely check it to be honest, most of the time I go in there it’s just a group of people complaining about something extremely minor that has very little effect on their lives.
Yet I went in there the other day and was surprised when I saw a post from some random dude that said:
“my pet emu had escaped”
Coolest post I’ve ever seen in there by far. So...
I check back 2 hours later and I see a video of the emu walking around on a golf course.
I check back the next day and just see all these businesses in my hometown posting AI pictures of the emu at their place biz… drinking coffee, working out, getting their nails done, etc. Pretty smart.
Eventually the dude figured out where the emu was and used a trailer to go pick he/she up. The FB group was going wild, I scrolled for 5 minutes straight and all I saw was pictures of emus.
So when I had someone ask me the other day if I thought it was smart to:
“prep content out in advance to save time”
I told them:
It may save you time, but you miss out on real time stories you can incorporate into them. Stuff that’s already top of mind for others that you can capitalize on. You don’t see an emu running wild every day ya know?
