Is AI Hype Torching Businesses Black Friday sales?
Wowza.
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving my friend.
Busy I have been.
Black Friday/Cyber Monday week is essentially a marketers superbowl... ya know?
On that topic, I don't know if I'm subscribed to some lame email lists, but I really haven't seen anything too creative going out this week aside from a select few campaigns.
A lot of go-through-the-motion promotions (say that 10x fast) this year.
All very similar too. What a shame! I wonder what caused that!
AI.
Shhhhhh. Who said that?
Although it's not in the deliverables, part of my services is refusing to allow my clients to walk down a similar path.
Which means:
Clients of mine that were running a BF promo absolutely crushed this week.
YAY!
One client in particular is having a monumental week. I think she actually just hit back-to-back record months.
In fact, she's running into problems because there has simply been TOO much interest.
Her calendar for the next 3 days:
As I've written this email she's booked 2 more sales calls. (Blurred on purpose).
With this specific client, I started off her black friday email campaign with some really fun emails that stood out BIG.
And those performed SO well, I honestly feel like I should package them up and sell the outline to other people in that niche.
But, who got time for that, I'm just going to give them to ya.
An early christmas present.
Before I link da emails to ya doe, know this:
Although this set of emails are short and simple and honestly kind of cringe.
These are email ideas that take a lot of time to come up with.
Email ideas you converse with a friend about.
Email ideas that come to you while you're on a 2 hour walk.
With what I've seen so far, AI would never come close to replicating stuff like this, which is really why I bring it to light so often. It just doesn't offer the humanity that you need to run a successful email list.
I really think people are spinning their wheels with what's currently available to them, and I think I saw one too many businesses lean on that for BF/CM this year.
Biz owners would see way better results writing emails in their own voice, even the ones they think are "shit" than spending that same time trying to "master prompt" AI.
Your emails need:
consistent energy
words with LIFE behind them
out-of-the-box human creativity
Even typos from here to there
Ai just doesn't offer that same spark yet.
Anywho, here's the two-sequence emails to read.
