Needle A Day Keeps The Doc Away?

An apple a day keeps the doc away *says while their kid eats an apple
I’m not necessarily sure if an apple a day keeps the doctor away or not, could just be an ancient proverb, but I’ll tell you what does keep the doctor away:
A needle per day.
Needle as in: needle mover.
Needle mover as in: things that make you (or your business) money.
Back when I first set out on my entrepreneurial journey, I spent countless hours… days… even months doing unimportant stuff outside of client work. Stuff that didn’t move the needle for my business at all.
Stressful times honestly, many doc visits would occurred later in life if I stayed on that route.
I now know it is much better to just focus on the needle movers outside of client work.
Often resulting in = less overall time worked + more fulfilling work.
And now…
As I write daily emails to the average joe or biz owner who wants to understand marketing better:
I recognize that most of you are probably overwhelmed by all the different marketing tactics people are telling you to try.
I mean, no joke…
I just listened to someone say they spent 100k on a website no less than 2 hours ago and that it didn’t even benefit them.
That same person could have built a website for $200, attached a newsletter opt-in for free, then mailed them every single day and seen better results.
It’s just pure stupidity and blasphemy.
It’s important to remember that the needle mover for any business is:
Actually selling your product/service.
Which makes everything else busy work.
So if you’re actively trying to grow your business (determining whether it’s actually worth it do so or not is a topic for another email), you need to be spending a vast majority of the day on activities that are moving the needle forward.
For me that means:
Sending an email to my list every day to stay top of mind
Outreach to clients I find interesting and want to work with
Posting about my work on social media from time to time (need to do this more honestly)
Asking clients/people reading this to refer my copywriting/marketing services to people who need them.
For another that may mean:
Posting on social media
Responding to DMs
Writing a daily email to your list
Posting a YT video
Hopping on calls
I’m just listing common stuff here, odds are you know exactly what you need to do.
It’s so easy to get distracted with all the shiny objects out there when the answer to your problem / goals lies in the work you have been avoiding all along.
^ Applies for anything in life btw.
I mean that’s the sole reason why my services work for my clients, I really do not bring anything too too crazy to the table (that could be a lie).
The real sauce of my services comes in the consistent work. When you pay someone to do it, it’s an automatic that it gets done every time.
